Young Epilepsy has been connected to farming since its founding in 1897, when it was known as the St Piers Farm Training Colony and was managed by the Christian Union for Social Services. The campus now spans approximately 260 acres, with most of the land leased to a nearby farm. Of the total area, around 70 acres are dedicated to campus buildings, while 30 acres are actively farmed by the college. This farmland serves as an educational and therapeutic resource for students aged 19 to 26. Currently, produce grown on the farm is sold to staff, helping to cover operational costs.
